The benefits of reading are undeniable. It develops the mind and helps young children develop their language skills. That’s why we sponsored Freedom Readers this month. Freedom readers is an organization that promotes a love of reading and development of the skills, tools, habits and characteristics needed to become good readers.
By providing one-on-one literacy tutoring, free books and an inspiring learning environment, Freedom Readers improves the reading skills in low-income communities throughout our area.
We donated $1 for every like, comment or share we received on our Freedom Readers Facebook post and raised over $160! Just $83 provides for one student for an entire session.
